Curriculum highlights
Hello Seahorse friends and families! We have had so much fun this week talking about different subjects this week. We were trying to explore what our little ones enjoy the most so they can have fun learning. Most of these activities had shapes to identify, transportation to identify or even try to make some prints to differentiate animals!
On Monday, our little ones made a car craft. One way or the other, they are so much interested in transportation such as trucks, cars, buses. So we started small by trying to input wheels, doors and color to soften our palms and strengthen our fingers.
On Tuesday, we had to embark on a dinosaur journey. We had to talk about the dinosaurs we usually sing about and guess what? some of them actually have names they know! So we had to see their foot prints on paper using paint and miniature dinosaur toys.
On Wednesday, we had so much fun trying to dress up. We all like dressing up sometimes and this time we had to try to dress our mini people. They used Popsicle sticks to pate some clothes of their choice, and faces with hair as well. We learnt our clothes vocabulary during this activity!
On Thursday, we had our favorite character as our activity. We had to feed Apanman some shapes. The best part about Apanaman is that he has shapes that we can relate to and we love him! So we had to identify where the circles are on his whole body and feed him and some triangles as a bonus shape we had to learn.
On Friday, we had a fun movement activity with our little ones. They had to control a ball on a road and make it to the finish line without the ball being lifted up. Coordination is something that is very important for toddlers to master and by having fun, we can achieve it gradually. They also had to color Anpanaman , using different colors of their choice. This activity was mostly to improve their finger dexterity and flexibility as well .
