Dear Families and Friends,

πŸ‘‹ What an exciting week it's been exploring "All About Me"! We've been learning all about ourselves, our favorite things, and our wonderful friends. Our activities focused on celebrating our individuality and enjoying fun group activities together. Here's a little peek at our week:

On Monday, we did a mirror activity. πŸ˜„πŸ˜’πŸ˜  We started the week exploring our different emotions using mirrors and some of our favorite stuffed friends. We made happy faces, sad faces, and even a few silly angry ones! Observing different facial expressions and associating them with emotions, even on toys, lays the foundation for emotional recognition and understanding.

On Tuesday, we were tiny Picassos! πŸŽ¨πŸ–️ We unleashed our inner artists and created our very own colorful portraits! It might have been the first time holding crayons for some of us, but we did an amazing job making our black and white pictures bright and colorful. This activity helps develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

On Wednesday, we did a simple puzzle activity. 🧩 We put on our thinking caps and solved picture puzzles! Two-piece puzzles were just the right challenge for us. Successfully putting the pieces together and matching it with our pictures build cognitive skills and a sense of accomplishment.

On Thursday, πŸ–️❤️ we got our hands wonderfully messy with red paint and made our very own handprints! It’s a great sensory experience that promotes body awareness as they focus on their hands and the marks they can make.

Lastly, to cap off the week, we did a group body painting on Friday! 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️ We had fun working together to paint a big body outline! Before painting, we took turns lying down to see if it was our size and excitedly shouted, "AHH it's me!" Identifying their own body in relation to the outline enhances body awareness and reinforces the concept of "self" within a group setting.

It was a wonderful week celebrating all the unique things that make each of us special! Let’s have a look at our group pictures! ✨
