Reminders

Good day! With the weather getting warmer, we kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled.

Curriculum highlights

Hi parents! This week's topic was so much fun, and the kids really enjoyed exploring and learning about different animals! We also started practicing for our upcoming Sports Day Performance! They are learning to listen to instructions from their teachers and having fun with their friends.

Just a reminder that we will have our Parents Day on May 27th, and we can't wait to see you all there!

On Monday, we had a fun exploration with our Seahorse friends and a variety of animal toys! We enjoyed giving them a nice bath in the water and practiced using words like "wet," "water," and "splash"!

On Tuesday, we learned a new song, "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," and our first mommy and baby animal was the pig! They say Oink Oink! We talked about how pigs are often pink and muddy. For our craft, we did some muddy pig sensory art! Friends used their little fingers to move round beads inside a bag to spread brown paint and "paint" their piggies. What a fantastic way to explore texture and get creative!

Wednesday was a Cow Day! We learned that a cow says "mooo" and then we headed over to our milking station! Friends sat so nicely in a circle and worked very hard to "milk" our cows together. Lots of squeezeeeee-ing!

Thursday was a Sheep Day! We learned that sheep say "Baa baa baa!" and are white and furry. So, for our sensory activity today, we made adorable sheep crafts and stuck soft cotton all over them! Everyone loved touching the fluffy cotton.

On Friday, to wrap up our theme, Friday was all about gross motor fun in the big room!  We had a blast moving and grooving! We also enjoyed playing with our collection of small and big animal toys, practicing lining them up on the table. It was great to see everyone comparing sizes and organizing!
