Reminders

Good day! With the weather getting warmer, we kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled.

Curriculum highlights

What a wonderful week we had! Our theme all about fruits was a huge hit, especially with the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar who shares our love for healthy snacks! The week was made even more special because so many of you joined us for Parents Day. Thank you all for celebrating and having fun with us!

On Monday, we kicked off the week by discussing the tiny caterpillar and making a caterpillar craft using green painted balloons. We loved pointing out how both are circles! We also connected our theme to our morning snack times, talking about how healthy and yummy fruits are.

Tuesday was Parents Day and you all joined us to listen to the classic story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and learned about its transformation from a tiny caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. We also connected our fruit theme by talking about all the different fruits the caterpillar ate in the story!

On Wednesday, the children worked on their fine motor skills by stringing colorful pool noodle "fruits" (yellow bananas, red apples, and blue blueberries!) onto a stick with their friends.

On Thursday, with the caterpillar now a butterfly, we celebrated by making butterfly crafts adorned with fruit pictures. It was so cute when some of the kids tried to lick the pictures, thinking they were real fruits! Yum yum yum!

On Friday, we had a combined practice with our Seahorse friends for the upcoming Sports Day. Afterwards, we enjoyed some relaxing time playing with our theme sensory bin.

Monday
