Morning & Afternoon Meeting
This week we continued practicing our sports day dances, and we continued to learn about the days of the week and the months of the year. We are also starting to do different dances to get up and move around to wake up and change our moods!
Language and Literacy
This week we looked at the letter E! We started the week by making an Elmo E, we learned how to trace the letter E, we made an elephant mask, we made the letter E out of playdough, and we painted an elephant! They had so much fun learning about this letter this week!
Math
This week we continued practicing and recognizing numbers from 1-10 and also backwards 10-1. We did number puzzles to put the numbers in the right order, we had a bunch of numbers on the floor and found which order to put them in, and we did a hunt for numbers in the classroom to put them into the right order. They are getting pretty good at identifying each of those numbers now!
Topic Exploration
The theme for this week was all the 5 senses! We painted so we could smell the paint, we played i-spy so they could see different pictures, we played with playdough so we could feel it, and we listened to songs and moved around with the music, and we tasted the special snacks that were packed!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We played at the park and the big room this week! They had such a good time playing in these places this week!
Book of the Week
Our book of the week was Today I will Fly. They really enjoyed seeing the animals try to fly in the book this week!
