Week 9 Theme:
Outdoor Activities in the Summer
Reminders
Curriculum highlights
Our theme this week was all about Outdoor Summer Activities! We enjoyed doing Outdoor activities...inside the classroom! We also spent some days practicing our song and dance, obstacle courses and hurdles in the big room.
On Monday, we started our day by beating the heat with a super cool Ice Painting craft. The children loved watching their favorite colors transfer as they painted with ice. We even talked about "hot" and "cold" words while we painted!
On Tuesday, we got ready for Sports Day! It was our first time practicing hurdles and obstacle courses, and we got to do it alongside our Seahorse friends! Everyone showed great teamwork and enthusiasm. Yay!
On Wednesday, we went on an pretend bug hunt, imagining we were outside catching all the cool bugs that come out in the summer! Everyone did such a great job using their nets to catch a whole bunch of bugs, like caterpillars, butterflies, ladybugs, and beetles. We also practiced some new phrases like "catch!" "in the net," "so many," and "fly!".
On Thursday, our outdoor theme took us to the park where we became nature explorers! Ms. Anji challenged us to find natural treasures for our nature frames, and we collected all sorts of leaves, colorful flowers, sticks, and even sand. After collecting, we spent a long time at the park and enjoyed playing with friends!
On Friday, we had a fantastic practice run for Sports Day during our big room time! Everyone's been working so hard, and we're super excited to show you all our skills and spend the day with you! Let's have a look at how our week went!
