Curriculum highlights
Hello Seahorse friends and families! This week was a roller coaster of activities as we had to move our bodies the most. We were in for a physical treat challenging both our fine and gross motor skills. We had so much fun, exploring the outside world using different ways and in the comfort of our classroom or sometimes at the Park! Happy exploring!
On Monday, we had a fun obstacle course in our classroom. The main idea behind this was to test if we could follow the correct instructions and expand our vocabulary as well. We were using terms like jump, crawl, walk and sit. They are basic terms we use most of the time and they were fun and easy!
On Tuesday, we had our trial run sports day practice session . We did all the activities for the day from our dance through obstacle course as well. I must say they, were so excited to be watching each other and cheering for each other! We look forward to the amazing energy we received.
On Wednesday, we had an exciting scavenger hunt in the classroom. The idea was to increase their eye coordination as well as increase curiosity through looking for the same objects. The celebrations made when they found something made it interesting! They all wanted to join in the hunt and would constantly help each other. We also tried some leaf printing, and honestly, they wanted to paint the paper more than to see a leaf print!
On Thursday, we went scouting for fun nature items at the park. We had to look for items that we want for our portraits the following day. It was a fun experience to have them try and pick objects and store them somewhere. More like a scavenger hunt part two but outdoors!
On Friday, We finally made our sticky nature collage. Chosen from the bits and pieces we picked from the previous day, we made a beautiful collage and framed it as a memory! Exploring nature is so much fun in the summer, and we did just that!
