Curriculum highlights

This week, we felt the cool autumn breeze, which gave us more opportunities to enjoy our walks outside with friends. Our theme for the week was autumn nature, and we explored squirrels, acorns, and pinecones.

On Monday, we did a color-matching activity with squirrels and were so proud to see that all the children can now sort colors and name them!

On Tuesday's morning assembly focused on being risk-takers. We played a mystery box game, and everyone was brave enough to take on the challenge.

On Wednesday, we painted with pinecones for the first time! It was a new experience, but the children were so creative painting a big squirrel and pinecone, and we learned about the color brown.

Thursday was all about reviewing our colors and the concepts of big and small with a fun sensory activity.

To end the week on Friday, we had a fun time with a sensory bin activity, pretending to be hungry squirrels climbing trees to gather acorns.

It has been a very wonderful week learning about so many things and playing with our friends! See you again next week! Have a wonderful long weekend everyone!
