Curriculum highlights

On Monday, we jump started our week with an exciting language activity. We did a L craft for leaf! we practiced how to sound the letter and say leaf. We did not just end there, we had to paste our leaves on the letter L. This activity is good for their visual partial skills as they try to carefully place each leaf in its own space. Beautiful piece of art as we learn more words!

On Tuesday, it was a day for us to explore our fall textures. Fall comes with very lovely, different textures that we can't explore outside but in our sensory bins. They had to use pegs to pick different leaves, and also play around with shredded paper. They all had the same thought, "Ramen!" So it ended up also being imaginary play!

On Wednesday,  we had so much fun with paint dot markers. Decorating our acorns in whichever color we love. This helps them to be creative and just follow their imagination for the day.

On Thursday, we had a physical listening activity. They followed instructions to roll, crack, eat, hide, toss and bounce a ball. Falling actions from our song of the week they did a pretty amazing job! They also had to pick up balls and place them in a basket until all were finished, giving each other a chance to grab a ball each.

On Friday, we finalized our week with a colorful fall hand print. We made a wreath from torn paper. This activity was mainly based on their fine motor skills to prepare for pencil grip.
