Curriculum highlights

What a fantastic week we had with our theme, Five Little Pumpkins! Our theme was all about pumpkins, the color orange, and exploring different feelings like happy, grumpy, sleepy, and sad.

On Monday, we reviewed numbers 1–5 with a fun game of pumpkin and hoops. We got creative on Tuesday by mixing red and yellow paint to make orange, just like a pumpkin! Wednesday was all about balance, as the kids carefully placed pumpkins on top of short and long tubes. Oh, even on their heads!

We continued our color exploration on Thursday with a sensory bag activity, squishing red and yellow paint to watch it turn orange. We wrapped up the week on Friday with a fun shell game, hiding pumpkins under cups. The kids practiced saying, "I found it!" and "Oh, oh, try again!"

We were all sad that our field trip to the aquarium had to be canceled, but your child’s safety is always our top priority. Thank you for your understanding. We hope to reschedule the trip for another time this term.
