Children's Interest: Blocks
Reminders
We kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled.
Curriculum highlights
On Monday. we started the week by decorating our literacy poster with fun stickers. The poster is now hanging in the hallway, so be sure to stop by and take a look when you get a chance!
On Tuesday, we had a holiday, so no school for the kiddos!
On Wednesday, it was all about free play with blocks. The children spent time manipulating the blocks with their hands, stacking, pressing, and creating. It was wonderful to watch how they worked together, and before we knew it, they had built an amazing block castle!
On Thursday, some monster blocks visited our class, and they were very hungry! We fed the monsters by sorting blocks by color and feeding them their “favorite colors.” Yum yum!
Lastly on Friday, we wrapped up the week with block art. The kids enjoyed stamping and making marks with their blocks, creating unique and colorful pieces of artwork. Yay!
