Curriculum highlights

Our theme this week was all about Autumn Leaves, and we explored it in so many fun ways.

On Monday, we kicked things off with a fun song, Autumn Leaves are Falling Down (to the tune of London Bridge). The kids loved singing it while tossing leaves in the air, really feeling the season! We also had our Morning Assembly on this day and we talked about being open-minded and respecting others' opinions. Such an important lesson for everyone!

On Tuesday, we had our first experience using rakes! The kids worked hard to rake leaves into circle spots, taking extra care with the rakes and understanding their purpose.

On Wednesday, the children decorated our autumn tree by sticking colorful leaves onto sticky trees. It was such a creative activity!

Thursday was a sensory play day! The kids compared the feel of fake vs. real leaves. Fake leaves were soft, while real ones were crunchy and dry when stepped on. Check out the video below for some fun moments!

🎉 Lastly, on Friday, we celebrated our 100th day of school with 100 themed craft and tons of playtime! What a special way to end our week.

What a fun, busy week full of learning and laughter! See you again next week!
