Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning meeting and afternoon meeting we really relaxed after finishing COL. This week we really had fun doing random silly dances as well as singing songs about the calendar and the weather. They really love doing silly dances altogether. It really wakes them up and gets them moving!!
Language and Literacy
This week we reviewed two sounds that we learned in the past, 'ai' and 'b/d'! We made an 'ai' train that had different 'ai' words on it! They really really loved this activity. Alot of creativity when drawing the background. We also did different 'ai' word puzzles. They had to cut out 'ai' and glue it to different words. Then we looked at b vs d. We talked about how to see the difference between b and d!
Math
This week we reviewed some things that we learned before! We reviewed patterns and shapes! We practiced making abab patterns with small and large toys. We reviewed shapes and the names of different shapes. We made patterns with those shapes, and then we practiced cutting out shapes to make person!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was space! We talked about the names of all the planets and colored them one by one. We practiced cutting by cutting to different stars! We made our own planets by coloring coasters different colors. We also watched 5 minutes of a special magic school bus!!
