Winter Wonderland
Winter is here! We kindly ask you to dress our little ones in comfortable clothing during their school time. May you also ensure they have a warm change of clothes as well at school just in case they might need to change. Please continue to log into our class dojo and thank you for labeling our little ones items!
Curriculum highlights
On Tuesday, we introduced the theme of the week with a winter vocabulary worksheet. We had to learn the names of some items that we are familiar with. It was a worksheet for the whole week as we would first revise them then move onto the activity for the day! They did great with recognizing some of them.
On Wednesday, they made a snowman of their own. They had to ensemble three circles and figure out the smallest is the head then put a hat on it. They decorated with colorful, glittery snowy stickers. Just a little sprinkle of them all over their lovely snowman.
On Thursday, They had a gingerbread button counting. They were only two buttons to count, and so many colors to identify! Afterwards, they had to practice scissors handling. We had to talk about scissors safety first then move on to hand placing. Its still very new to them so we are taking baby steps.They did eventually did cut and tear some pieces of the gingerbread man.
On Friday, we talked about a snowflake, sang the snowflake song. We were such in lunch it was snowing so we had to see tons of snowflakes falling from the sky! They pasted some stickers inside it and they were all saying ,"Colorful".
