Curriculum highlights
On Tuesday, we worked together to build a small world igloo, or as we liked to call it, our ice house. Using recycled styrofoam, the children piled, stacked, and connected pieces to create a cool little hideout. Once it was ready, we pretended to be playful penguins waddling and sliding inside. It was a fantastic chance to practice cooperation and teamwork.
On Wednesday, we made a special Christmas tree craft using recycled yogurt bottles. The children filled them with green shredded paper and decorated the outside with colorful tape and stickers. Each one turned out beautifully—we hope they bring a festive touch to your home this holiday season!
Thursday was all about meeting Mr. Snowman. We created a melting snowman craft using white paint and toothbrushes. The kids were very amused to learn that this toothbrush was only for painting, even though the white paint looked a lot like toothpaste—hehe!
To wrap up our snowy adventures, on Friday we enjoyed our snowman sensory bin filled with soft flour. The children loved scooping, pouring, and exploring the snow-like texture using spoons and cups. It was the perfect cozy end to a chilly, creative week.
What a wonderful and snowy week it has been! Wishing everyone warmth, coziness, and a lovely weekend ahead. See you next week! ☃️❄️
