Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning meeting and afternoon meeting we still had a lot of fun doing different dances and singing different songs! They really like to do fast versions of the songs that we normally do to see if they can go as fast as the faster versions! They always look so happy to be singing and dancing with their friends!! We also had a morning assembly this week on Monday! They had so much fun watching the puppet show!
Language and Literacy
This week we reviewed different sounds that we had learned this term and we played a name writing game! We looked at the group 4 sounds on jolly phonics: 'ai, j, oe, ie, ee, or'. We played a game where we had to walk over to the sound that we heard in different words. We played a game where we had to write our name in different colors based on what number was rolled on the dice! Then we made an 'or' orange! It was an orange with different 'or' words in it!
Math
This week we reviewed things that we had learned this term! We reviewed number recognition for numbers 1-10. We reviewed less, and we reviewed size and weight! We did number puzzles where we have to match the number with dots! We read Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons while writing how many buttons were left! Then, we used the big turnip to talk about weight and size of things!!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was winter! We talked about winter and if the kids liked winter or summer more! For the crafts, we made a craft for the New Year with the animal of the new year! We also painted our own penguin!! They really had fun working on these different crafts!
Winter Party!
We had our winter party on Thursday!! The kids had so much fun. We made snowmen with our faces on them! We danced to so many different dances! We played around with fans in the Big room. We played Bingo and got presents to open! Then we ate Ice Cream while watching The Magic School Bus! They had a lot of fun today!!
