Hello, Orca Class families!
Morning & Afternoon Meeting
Our morning meetings this week were truly engaging and meaningful! Then, we started singing good morning song wherein we formed a circle and danced together as we say hello to everyone. It was such a joy seeing them laughing and holding each others' hands to begin our day. It was followed by checking our calendar time, assigning class jobs, doing a movement song and sharing about our whereabouts through our Class Dojo photos.
In the afternoon, we continued our Term 3 Show and Tell this week about something warm/hot. It was wonderful that our friends' different objects and photos about something from our Winter from Blue group such as heat packs, woolly hats, hot chocolate and more. It was engaging and meaningful as we tried to guess what our friends brought/showed. Our friends were so curious and guessed a lot of warm -related objects. We ended our day by reading a storybook and singing a goodbye song.

For Week 35, we focused on understanding the concept of "greater than, less than, and equal to" (>, <, =), in order to better understand numbers, values, and separating/categorizing numbers. We learned about new strategies to identify numbers as greater than or less than by utilizing the famous, "alligator" method, which entails assigning a pictograph to the greater than and less than signs in the form of an open alligator mouth that will always be open towards the greater valued number as its hungry. We completed a number of crafts, assignments, and activities to accomplish our goals.
