Curriculum highlights
Hello Seahorse family .
We started our week as Space explorers. How fun is it to wander into the unknown and learn that we not only have the sun but other planets too. We introduced the theme with flashcards and more vocabulary words for us, that would set up the language for a week. They had a collaborative coloring activity of the universe, with different planets to color.
On Tuesday, Seahorse friends had a fun sensory play. With a combination of fake snow and planets, we went to the moon and around using our hands. They had so much fun up to the extent that they were powdery white, and all smiles. This always helps with their motor as they are preparing for writing. Stronger motor skills ensures a stronger palm.
On Thursday we talked about how we want to be little shining stars. We sang the Twinkle twinkle little star before we did our activity. They had to make stars using play dough and star cutters. It wasn't easy at first but with practice they will get the hang of it.
On Friday, we then made a small cute token for our mommies and daddies. Just to show them how much we love and cherish them. On that note, Happy Valentine's Day from the Seahorse family .
