Curriculum highlights
This week, Starfish Class blasted off into SPACE! 🚀✨
We started our adventure by singing our all-time favorite song, “Zoom Zoom Zoom!” We sang it loud and proud as we pretended to hop into our rocket ships and zoom past the moon. There were countdowns, wiggly astronaut walks, and lots of giggles as we explored the galaxy together!
On Monday, we became space artists! We did star stamping on black paper and added different shapes to create our very own sparkling night skies. They looked just like the sky full of twinkling stars.
On Tuesday, something exciting happened… we discovered surprise ABCs and 123s hidden inside asteroid balls! It was so much fun unraveling them to see what was inside. We were amazed to find that some of our friends could already recognize letters and numbers. What clever little astronauts we have in Starfish Class!
On Thursday, we explored the Sun and Earth with a hands-on sensory activity. We moved and spun a globe to see how day and night happen. We even found Japan on the globe and talked about how the Earth moves around the Sun. It was so fun to touch, turn, and learn all about our planet.
On Friday, we wrapped up our space week with relaxing sensory bags to explore. We talked about planets, stars, and rockets. There are so many amazing things we learned during our space adventures.
What a stellar week it has been in Starfish Class! We can’t wait to see where our next adventure takes us!
