Good day! With the weather getting warmer, we kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled.

Thank you for joining us in our Coffee Time, Starfish family! It was such a pleasure meeting all of you and learning about your child's interests during our Coffee Time! Getting to know each of you was truly wonderful, and I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year together!
I would like to share some highlights from our awesome "My Family" week! Starfish friends had such a great time making their family trees extra special by decorating it by themselves. It was really sweet seeing them look at their photos when they were missing their families. We've even been using the pictures to help them feel a bit more relaxed and remember that their parents will be back soon.Here’s a quick look at what we did this week:
On Monday, we got crafty decorating our family trees with stickers and photos. It was a little emotional for some who were missing their families, so we had a good chat about school time versus home time.
On Tuesday, we had our very first Earthquake drill for this year! We practiced our "duck, cover, and hold" moves under the tables and then walked nicely to our safe spot outside at Higashi Nibancho Shougakkou. Safety first!
On Wednesday, more family fun! We focused on saying "mother/mama," "father/papa," and "me!" We also played a super fun game sorting balls with their family pictures into baskets. The "Finger Family" song was a big hit!
On Thursday, we had a home sweet home activity! We talked about our favorite place – our houses! We did a group painting using paintbrushes and paints and it turned out so beautiful! We did pretend tea time afterwards to practice our sharing and taking turn skills!
On Friday, double the fun with our Seahorse friends! We had a blast singing, dancing, and moving around together. We also read our weekly book and sang our family song as one big group. It was all about fun, making new friends, and a perfect way to finish up before Golden Week!
