Hello Dolphin friends and families!
Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning meetings this week, we continued to sing the months of the year! They are all able to sing the song very loudly and say all of the names! We also started the days of the week, and they are quickly getting the hang of it! The friends also love feeding Hafu-Chan during the morning meeting! They get very excited when they can. We also had an earthquake drill during our morning meetings this week!
Language and Literacy
This week we focused on practicing the letter T and reviewing s and the short a. We blended the letters together to make words like, 'sat' and 'at'! They are really enjoying the story and songs that are in the lessons.
Math
This week we are continuing counting, and now the kids are very confident counting 1-10 and from 10-1. We also started to look at the difference in large, small, and medium. We had the kids go around the room and try to find toys that are those sizes and bring them to the front. Then we counted them all together to see how many they could grab!
Topic Exploration
The theme for this week was All about me! This involves learning about what they can do and what their senses can do.
The students made maracas where we looked at the things inside, felt the things inside and listening to the shaking noises it could make. We also made tennis rackets for the students to see how many times they could hit the ball. But also what colors they could see and how the aluminum foil felt. We ended the week with making a T tree craft. The students got to feel the paper while ripping it and gluing it to the paper!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying heir playtime. We played in both the big room and the park this week. They are so creative when it comes to playing in both of these places!
Book of the Week
Our book for this week is 'I am invited to a Party!' The students really enjoyed this book because of the funny outfits the animals wear in the books. They also really enjoy saying party haha!
