Morning & Afternoon Meeting
This week we sang some new songs, learned some new dances and had a lot of fun! We've also started to learn our four 'Magic Words' please, thank you, excuse me, and I'm sorry. They really enjoy moving around in the morning to wake up!! They always have a smile on their faces when they get to move around and dance.
Language and Literacy
This week we are starting to look back at all the letters we have learned so far! We've made a strawberry, we practiced tracing to work on our fine motor skills, we made an iguana, we colored some things that begin with S, we tried to write our names by ourselves, and we sang our phonics song!!
Math
This week we looked back at some of the things we have done this term. We looked at things that are the same and different, we practiced tracing our numbers, we made different sized balls out of playdough, we practiced number recognition, and we played number hopscotch!!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was all about Japan!! Since Monday was Tanabata, we made a Fukinagashi! We made fans to keep ourselves cool in the heat, we made a Japanese flag, and we made our own Kabuki mask!! We also watched some episodes of Curious George where he visits Japan!!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We played in the big room a lot, and even were able to make it to the park on a day where it was cool!! They had so much fun playing new games in the big room like banana tag and big ball ball tag!!
Book of the Week
Our book of the week was Dinosaur vs Bedtime. They really enjoy dinosaurs, so they really enjoyed the book this week!
