Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning and afternoon meeting this week, we sang and danced to some old songs and new songs! They really love stretching and exercising in the morning. It makes them super excited for the day! We also had a new friend that will be joining us in class, so we introduced her to everyone!! Also, we had our first special Morning Assembly!! There was a puppet show that the boys and girls watched. They had so much fun!
Language and Literacy
This week we are reviewing and looking back our group 2 letters. We made a heart for the letter H. We did a sticker sheet for the letter K and kite. We looked at pictures and had to guess what letter was right, and we played with playdough and tried to make the letter M with it!! Everyone had so much fun doing these activities and they were able to remember the sounds great!!
Math
This week we continued to look at patterns. We made bracelets with beads and gave it a pattern. We practiced tracing shapes that were in a pattern. We used different shapes to make patterns and make different shapes with them. We used Legos to make pattern towers and we saw how high we could make the towers. And, we made patterns with stickers on a fish! They really like patterns and looking for them in activities!!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was ground transportation. We talked about different types of ground vehicles that we see in our fun songs and dances! We colored a picture that had different ground vehicles in it. We watched a special "Magic School Bus" that was about how cars work. And, we played with our many toy cars!!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We played in the big room a lot, and even were able to make it to the park on a couple of days where it was cool!! We also walked around the arcade near the school!
Book of the Week
Our book of the week was My School Bus. They really liked this story because they like riding on the bus!
