Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning and afternoon meeting this week, we sang and danced and exercised in the morning! We did different kinds of dances to shake us awake. They always get so excited to different kinds of dances when they come into class. We also had our second special Morning Assembly! This morning assembly we learned about being a risk taker, so we put our hands into boxes to feel what was inside! They had so much fun!! We also had a special visit from the traffic safety department to help us learn more about crossing the roads safely!!
Language and Literacy
This week we are learning about the letter 'O'! We used dots to make an O, we painted big Os on the wall, we practiced tracing, we made the letter O out of playdough, and we made an Octopus using the letter O!! They really had fun doing these activities this week!!
Math
This week we continued to look at short vs long. We balanced on a short balance beam and a long balance beam, we used sticks to make long and short lines, we practiced looking for short and long things and coloring a specific one, and we practiced cutting short and long pieces of paper!!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was about animals, specifically pets! We compared which animals are pets and which are wild animals. We watched different videos that have different animals in them and talked about if they could be pets. We did dances about wild animals and pets, and we colored a picture that had different pets on it!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We mainly played in the big room this week, but we did get a chance to walk around the arcade. They had a lot of fun doing these!!
Book of the Week
Our book of the week was there was an old lady who swallowed a fly. They thought it was a very funny book haha!!
