Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning meeting and afternoon meeting this week, we continued to play, sing and dance all together. We also talked about the different seasons and which ones are hot and cold. Since autumn is here, we talked about the leaves falling and the trees turning colors soon! They have so much fun moving around and talking in the mornings! We also had our stranger danger seminar for the kids on Friday!
Language and Literacy
This week we are learning about the letter 'L'! We made a Lamb using fuzzy wool, and they did great making them! We also practiced writing the letter by tracing it! We are also learning how to blend words together, they really enjoy trying to find the sounds in the words that they see!!
Math
This week we continued to look at size! This week we focused on small, smaller, smallest and big, bigger, biggest! We used different sized circles and let the students put them in order from small to smallest and big to biggest. We also made circles using playdough and we saw who could make the largest circle and who could make the smallest circle. They did great!!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was about animals, specifically farm animals. We learned a new song that helped us learn what sounds the animals make, and we learned about some new animals like turkeys! Then, we decorated our own class cow, and then we milked the cow!! They did great!!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We got to play in the bigroom and the park this week. We even learned a new game, Duck Duck Goose!!
Book of the Week
Our book of the week was on the farm! They really liked looking at all the animals in the book!
