๐ŸŒŸ Literacy Week Recap ๐ŸŒŸ

What an amazing Literacy Week we've had! ๐Ÿ“š We were introduced to so many wonderful books in both English and Japanese, and it's been so heartwarming to see the kids' excitement for reading grow. Our bookshelf has never been so popular, and we couldn't be happier to see them engaging with books on their own. A huge THANK YOU to all the teachers and parents who took the time to read with us. Your support means the world! ๐Ÿ’–

On Monday, we kicked off the week with *Brown Bear, Brown Bear* by Eric Carle. The kids had fun matching colored objects using film sheets and practicing the phrase, "I see a yellow duck, I see you!" They loved poking their faces through the sheets.

On Tuesday, based on *Peek-a-Who* by Nina Laden, we played our own version of the peek-a-boo game, with animals hiding under sheets. The magic word made them appear!

On Wednesday, we combined Monday and Tuesday's activities to review colors and phrases – so much learning and fun in one day!

On Thursday, based on *Little Blue Truck* by Alice Schertle, we worked on our fine motor skills, coloring a truck with our fingers! Some of the kids are already mastering the art of coloring within the lines. Wow!

To wrap up the week on Friday, we explored *Where’s My Belly Button?* by Karen Katz, learning about the parts of our body. Then, we did body shape crafts and putting all our shapes together to create a person!

What a week! We’re so proud of all the progress our little Starfish friends have made. Let’s keep the reading fun going at home too! ๐Ÿ“–✨
