Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning meeting and afternoon meeting this week, we have been trying new dances! They really enjoy trying to dance to new kinds of dances! They are really getting the hang of seasons too! They are able to recognize what sounds the seasons start with and what the weather feels like in the specific season! We also had a morning assembly! This morning assembly was about being open-minded! The kids really enjoyed the play that was going on!
Language and Literacy
This week we are learning about the letter 'F'! We did some fun things this week to learn about the letter! We made a flower using the letter f, we made a fish and the letter f using playdough, we practiced writing the letter f, and we practiced writing our names. They had a lot of fun and did great this week!
Math
This week we learned about heavy vs light! They really enjoyed math time this week! We went around the room and lifted different things to see what was heavy and light. We made a scale and weighed different toys in the classroom, we looked for pictures around the room and said if they were heavy or if they were light, and we pulled a box that had different water bottles inside. They had a lot of fun doing all of these things this week!
100th Day!
Friday was our 100th Day of school! We had a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of the activities that we had!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was about autumn. So we learned about what happens in autumn, what the weather feels like, and some of the things that happen in autumn. We painted trees using orange, yellow, and red, we made acorns by tearing brown paper, we read a special story about what happens in autumn, and we sang a song that told us different things that happen in autumn!!
Free Play!
Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We played in both the big room and the park this week! They had a lot of fun playing with their friends.
