Morning & Afternoon Meeting

For morning meeting and afternoon meeting this week we continued to dance and play together! We are learning a new dance in the morning meetings, and here soon we will start to have our show and tells in the afternoon meetings! They really love moving around and dancing all together in the mornings. It really puts a smile on their faces!

Language and Literacy

This week we are learning about the letter B. They really enjoyed the story that was on jolly phonics for this letter! We made butterflies and decorated them by cutting out paper squares and using balloons to paint the wings of the butter fly. They turned out really nice!! We also had a bug hunt game where there were bugs that had a letter on their back. They had to look around the class room and smash the bug and bring it to me. Then they said the sound that was on the bugs back. They did really great!

Math

This week we learned about capacity! So dealing with empty, half full, and full. I showed them what empty, half full, and full looked like in a bottle using water. We used stickers to fill up bottles on paper to full and half full. We used connectors to fill up cups to full, and we did an experiment where the students got to fill up water in a bottle. While the friends were filling up the bottles we had other friends using playdough to fill up bottles on paper!

Topic Exploration

This week's topic exploration was about healthy living! We learned about the difference between healthy food and unhealthy food. We had a special yoga time to stretch out bodies. Also, we learned different stretches to do before we move around and have fun moving around!! They had a lot of fun with this topic!

Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their playtime. We played in both the big room and the park this week. We are still learning our new game, Duck Duck Goose! They really have fun playing that game in the big room!
