Curriculum highlights
On Monday, we opened our week to a C for corn sound learning. This was really fun as we had to sing the alphabet throughout the whole week then identify our sound for corn. Quite easy for our toddlers as all they had to do was look for the picture. This is how they will learn letter and sound recognition!
On Tuesday, it was Parent's Day! So happy to have our lovely parents see how we spend the day in Seahorse class. Of course, our Seahorse friends were shy but most of all, they didn't cry when they got the chance to say goodbye to their parents. We did a number counting activity using pom poms. A great way to indulge our sense of touch as well as familiarize with counting.
On Wednesday, it was a craft day! We had to make our corn, the way we want haha. They hand to finger paint corn kernels and stick the husks on their own. they are getting better at doing their own activity with little to no assistance at all.
On Thursday, we went for farming, in our sensory bins. They had to plough, and dig using garden tools. It ended up being a modelling activity as they were fascinated at how the sand
On Friday, we made our own corn wreath. They had to first past the corn on the husk, then join it together as Seahorse friends. This was a fun activity, they were learning to take turns, and share the glue as well.
