Morning & Afternoon Meeting

For morning meeting and afternoon meeting this week we continued to learn some new dances and new songs to dance to and sing together! Everyone has so much fun dancing and playing together in the mornings. Everyone always has the biggest smiles on their faces! Also, in the afternoon meeting, we have started to do our show and tells! So far everyone has done so good and been so brave!! They are doing great!

Language and Literacy

This week we are looking back on the letters we have learned. We made Giraffes and painted dots on them. We used the magic box to pull out letters and say the sound that we see. We practiced writing the letters. We used a playdough mat to make the letter B, and we went magnet fishing!! They are doing so great during our language time!

Math

This week we learned about capacity! We put items in jars to see how many toys it would take to fill them up and we counted how many it would take. We used sand to fill up cups to see how a new material fills up containers. We filled different types of containers with toys to see how many it would take to fill them.

Parents Day

This week we had our Parents day! Everyone looked like they were having so much fun!! Thank you so much for coming and participating with your children! Everyone did great!!

Izumi-Field Trip

We had our Izumi field trip on Friday! Everyone had so much fun reading in the library and playing on the playground at Izumi Campus! They really enjoyed the sweet potatoes in the afternoon in Orca Class as well!!

Topic Exploration

This week's topic exploration was about All around the world! We listened to a song and tried to say hello in different languages! We colored a picture of the earth, and we learned the names of the different continents! We built the Eiffel tower out of magnets! And we tried to hula dance! Everyone really enjoyed learning about the world this week!
