Themes of the Week : Community Helpers & Winter Animals

We had so much fun practicing to be community helpers last week! Who knew caring for others and saving lives could be this fun. We had to experience a different occupation each day, from being doctors, police officers, fire fighters, teachers and builders! We had a week full of hands on activities, where each student got the chance to be everything by using the tools each helper uses. This was so much fun and we ended up having our toddlers decide what they want to be! It's never too early to introduce our little ones to a profession they would like and this was the best opportunity for them to experience a few chosen ones among the many!

This week we explored a few winter animals this short week. We talked about Polar bears, penguins and snowy owls. We waddled around the room as penguins as we tried to have fun in the winter as they do. We then explored our sense of touch with flour activity to make a unique snowy owl. This week was for us to familiarize ourselves with winter animals as we are about to embark on a winter journey with our Seahorse friends.
