Curriculum highlights
This week, our theme was Arctic Animals, focusing on penguins and polar bears! Throughout the week, we waddled like penguins and explored the colors black and white.
On Wednesday, the children made adorable penguin crafts and practiced their pasting skills. We were so surprised to see how comfortable they were using glue, sticky hands and all! Their penguins are proudly displayed in our hallway for you to enjoy.
On Thursday, we had fun with penguin bowling, a gross motor game where we practiced counting from 1 to 5 while knocking down pins with balls. The kids loved it!
Then on Friday, we created cute polar bear crafts using sponge painting on black paper. The children enjoyed dipping and stamping while naming our theme colors again — black and white! Afterwards, we took a lovely walk to the park to enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves 🍁.
🌈 Upcoming reminder: Next Friday, November 14th, we’ll celebrate Fall Color Day (non-uniform day). Our Starfish are encouraged to wear yellow tones! Thank you 💛
