Autumn Feels

Curriculum highlights

On Monday, we had a combined day with our Starfish friends. We went on to practice our performance for the upcoming events. They had their physical play for the day as they were moving around and dancing according to instructions as well. Seahorse friends then pasted small autumn colored papers on the letter A. I must say they are doing very well.

On Tuesday, we made a lovely leaf craft. At they had to do is spread the paint across the leaf so it will be fully colored. It was a beautifully blend of autumn colors and it helps with their fine motor. It also assists with concentration as you feel the paint through the plastic paper.

On Wednesday, it was another fun day to play with dough. This time it was a white colored dough and they had to make a tree. 3 balls of dough and one stick. This was a great activity for them to roll, then flatten the balls to make a flat circle. We had all kinds of trees as our final result but they enjoyed it!

On Thursday, they had a numeracy activity. They used tongs to count the dinosaurs and each individual had five pieces. They also had to place stickers on the number one, as a sequence of lining all stickers

On Friday, we capped the autumn feel theme with an animal pasting activity. We talked about the hedgehog, and we decided to paste its spines. This helps them to learn that animals are diverse and do not always have the same features. They also learnt it's a small animal compared to a bear!
