Curriculum highlights
This week, our theme was “Autumn Feels”, and we spent time reviewing all the wonderful things we find in this cozy season—pumpkins, squirrels, colorful leaves, and more! The children also worked hard getting ready for our upcoming COL, and each day they are becoming more confident and comfortable in their costumes.
Monday started with a fun combined activity in the big room, followed by our COL practice.
Tuesday, we made our special COL craft: a hibernating brown bear with the children’s own photos. Everyone practiced recognizing their names and their friends while saying things like “I’m sleepy… long sleep!” ๐ป๐ค
On Wednesday, we enjoyed playdough time using autumn nature items and even created our own autumn canvases! We also had our health check, and we are so proud that most of the children were very brave and didn’t cry at all! ๐ฉบ๐
Thursday was all about fine motor skills as we made a cute pumpkin craft. The children did a great job using glue and learning how it works on paper. ๐๐งก
Finally, on Friday, we ended the week with a warm and cozy sensory activity—making Autumn Soup! The children scooped, poured, mixed, and “cooked” soup for their friends and teachers. We heard so many wonderful phrases like “It’s hot!” “Blow!” “Oooh yummy!” “Mine!” “Me too!” ๐ฒ✨
Wishing everyone a long, restful weekend. We hope our friends recovering from the flu or other infections feel much better soon. Take good care, and we look forward to seeing you all next week! ๐๐
