Morning & Afternoon Meeting

For morning meeting and afternoon meeting we are continuing to practice our Celebration of Learning dances and songs. They really enjoy practicing them! They are doing really great as well! They are all using their big voices and trying their best! They really are doing amazing!!

Language and Literacy

This week we learned about a new sound, 'ee'! We practiced writing the sound in different words, and we even tried to write the words by ourselves! We made an 'ee' tree that has different 'ee' words on it! Then, we had an ee corners and scavenger hunt. They had to match the picture with the word that they found! They really enjoyed learning about this sound this week!

Math

This week we started to look at less! We did something similar to what we did with more. We had two fish bowls, one with more and one with less. Then, we had to pick out a number and draw the number of fish and one less than what they had! Then we had a game of animal toss. We split the class into two teams and had them go to each side of the room, then they had to toss animals to the other side of the room. The side with the least animals won. They had a lot of fun playing that game!!

Topic Exploration

This week's topic exploration was winter sports mixed with practicing for Celebration of Learning! We learned about the different winter games that are played around the world. We played a game of hockey, where we had to hit our "puck" into the net to score points. Then, we had a big snow ball fight with paper balls! They really enjoyed learning about the different kinds of winter sports. We also used topic time to practice our Celebration of Learning play!!
