Curriculum highlights
On Tuesday we welcomed our Seahorse friends back to a fun filled term. We started our day by talking about our holiday experiences, which they had a lot of say. It was great seeing them conversing as friends and still knowing how to share. They had a great first day and we did a back pack activity. Helping them choose items to pack as well.
On Wednesday, we got back into familiar grounds and did the letter of the week. Our letter was A, and they had a point at the objects as I say them. It was amazing to see them identify the objects with enthusiasm. This activity was for them to relate to their immediate surroundings as we try to venture onto new grounds. Helping them realize a sound does not only stand for one object only but can represent many!
On Thursday, we had our first number of activities of the semester. Starting with counting our blocks then using play dough to paste over the number 1. The play dough was more fun for them as it helps them to focus more and fine their motor skills.
On Friday, we introduced a new game, Simon says: , this is an instructional game and requires our little ones to be paying attention to the instruction given. It helps them with following instructions easily and they did just that. They then went on to have a sensory sand play, molding different objects and
