Week 33 - January 9th, 2026

Morning & Afternoon Meeting

For morning meeting and afternoon meeting this week we spent a lot of time catching up with everything that has happened! We talked about our winter breaks while looking at pictures of it. We also spent a while dancing wildly together! Everyone was so happy to be back together and to spend time together!! We also had a special story time on Friday with a big book!

Language and Literacy

This week we looked at a new letter, Z! The kids had a lot of fun learning about this letter. We sang a special z song. We looked at different words that had Z in it. We played Zombie tag and had to touch the letter z and say the sound in order to be safe. We made a Z zebra. We practiced cutting zigzag lines. Then, we practiced writing the letter z! They did great this week!!

Math

This week we looked at 1-10 again! We practiced writing 1-10 without tracing lines! They are starting to get the hang of writing them. We also looked at number recognition with those numbers too! We practiced counting with our fingers with a counting song. Then, we had a special finger counting worksheet. They all did great!!

Topic Exploration

This week's topic exploration was welcome back! We made a special banner for our first day of term 3! We drew our favorite winter memories, and we talked about them. Everyone really enjoyed talking about what they did for their break! Then Friday, we had a special welcome back game time to celebrate everyone working so hard their first week back.
