Curriculum highlights
On Tuesday we introduced a new theme and had so much fun identifying the flashcards. the best part about winter clothes, is we can relate to it as we are talking about it. We then had to start by feeling the different materials we had in our classroom. Exploring different textures and sizes as well.
On Wednesday, we went on to make our own woolen hats as a craft. As a way to keep our ears warm from the wind, they decorated it beautifully. With a combination of wool and paper. just to let our toddlers explore how wool feels and seeing that it actually sticks on paper!
On Thursday, we had two mittens for everyone. They had to color and count the stickers on it. Enhancing their pincer grip with fine motor activities and their counting skills as well.
On Friday, we had a shoe and jacket game. From time to time we like to learn how to be independent and wear our own clothes. So, they tried to identify and wear their own jackets and shoes without assistance.
