Curriculum highlights

Hello everyone! ❄️

We started the week by exploring snow and ice. On Monday, a melted snowman came to our class asking for help! The children helped him put his body parts back together and dressed him in winter clothes. We talked about body parts and learned winter clothes like hat, scarf, and mittens. The children were very excited and happy to help the snowman.

On Tuesday, we focused on fine motor skills. The children made snowflakes by filling holes using Q-tips. This activity helped practice hand-eye coordination, focus, and control. Everyone worked very carefully, and their concentration was excellent.

On Wednesday, we painted ice! The children were surprised to see that we could paint on ice using watercolor paints. The colors looked beautiful as they melted and mixed. We talked about how the ice felt hard and cold, and the children enjoyed touching and observing it.

Thursday was a fun sensory day. We worked on saving frozen bears trapped inside ice. The children poured warm water, tapped, and smashed the ice to help free the bears. We talked about colors and practiced counting the bears as we rescued them. The children were very engaged and curious.

On Friday, we enjoyed pretend snow. The children made snowy bottles by filling bottles and pushing cotton inside. This activity required focus and patience. The children had so much fun, and their concentration was perfect as they finished their snowy creations. Good job helping gummy bear friends!
