Curriculum highlights

Hello everyone .

We started our week with an introduction of the letter sound "t" , and a rectangle as our shape for the week. We also talked about hot beverages we like to drink in winter. They made a hot chocolate cup craft. This was fun to watch them trying to place the handle for the mug.

On Tuesdaywe had an ice activity. They got about to discover the properties of ice, its cold, and it also melts. We gave them different shapes . This was for them to know ice takes any shape and it's not limited.

On Wednesday, we made a snowman. It was from papers they ripped by themselves. As we are preparing our pre-writing skills, we have to make sure our hands are ready for the writing process and this is one of them.

On Thursday we had a snowflake pocking activity. We used some half cut cotton buds for this. It helps with their hand-eye coordination and precision as well. They did a great job.

On Friday, we paint printed some trees to make a snowy mountain. The whole point was for them to paint using different colors and make a lovely winter landscape. They ended up just making random items on their paper and some hand the tree prints.
