Hello, Orca Class families!
Morning & Afternoon Meeting
Our morning meetings this week were truly engaging and meaningful! Then, we started singing good morning song wherein we formed a circle and danced together as we say hello to everyone. It was such a joy seeing them laughing and holding each others' hands to begin our day. It was followed by checking our calendar time, assigning class jobs, doing a movement song and sharing about our whereabouts through our Class Dojo photos. This week too, we had our monthly Morning assembly wherein they learned about a new character trait called, "Knowledgeable". Incorporating it through Science and Numeracy week, the students were given quick, sensorial, and meaningful activities to jumpstart our topics about Space, Textures, Animals, Float and Sink, and Senses stations headed by our lower grades teachers. What a fun and exciting way to kickstart our week at school!
Science and Numeracy Week
Pre-K and Kinder
Science and Numeracy Week allowed for an abundance of new opportunities, experiments, and activities to be hosted and thus some incredible memories to be molded amongst our Orcas. We explored a vast array of topics, ranging from better understanding texture, the scope of the cosmos, our five senses, density of objects, and animal life cycles. Each day provided two distinct activities geared towards enriching the studies of our Orcas with hands-on and visual experiences .
