Morning & Afternoon Meeting
For morning meeting and afternoon meeting this week we had a great time!! We have continued to do our sequencing game to work on multi-step instructions. They are doing great at thinking and moving quickly!! We are also continuing to do our morning song in new and fun ways! We danced with partners this week and we are still making trains!! They are having so much fun in the mornings and afternoons!!
Language and Literacy
This week we looked at the group 5 of our JollyPhonics letters! Those are: Z, W, NG, V, and OO! We practiced writing some words that have OO in them. We made a V booklet that had different V words inside of it! We made a W weather craft that showed the different types of weather we could have. We worked with partners to match words with pictures. Then, we used paint to cover words that have Z in them!! They did great!
Math
This week we continued to look at size. We played a game of Size flyswatter. The kids had to look at the paper and them hit the size and shape that they heard! We drew an outline of our bodies and measured it with blocks to see who was the tallest! Also, we painted our outlines! We played a game of touch the size. The kids had to touch the shape that they heard with their hands or feet! Then, we played a game of paper ball relay. They had to balance different sized paper balls on spoons and go back and forth!
Topic Exploration
This week's topic exploration was appreciating our friends!! We played a draw and pass game where we had to draw one thing and keep adding to the picture till we had a finished picture! We made friendship bracelets and our friends decorated them with different things. We decorated and made cards for our friends! We took paint and used each others hands to mix it together!! Then, we played different games that helped us build stronger friendships!
