Children's Interest: Puzzles

Reminders 

We kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled. 

Curriculum highlights 

This week in class was all about PUZZLES.

On Monday, we started by reviewing our basic shapes ; circle, square, and triangle. We matched the shapes on our shape mats and showed how much we remembered. Everyone was excited to find the right shape and fit it in the perfect spot!

On Tuesday, things got even more exciting. We learned more about ourselves and solved our very own picture puzzles! Our younger friends worked hard on their 2-piece puzzles, while our bigger friends challenged themselves with 4-piece puzzles. It was a little tricky at first, but no one gave up! Soon, big smiles filled the room as they finished their puzzles and then helped solve their friends’ puzzles too. Teamwork makes the dream work!

On Wednesday, we had a super fun tabletop activity with lots of board puzzles. We practiced taking turns and sharing, making sure everyone had a chance to try different puzzles. We learned not to hold on to just one puzzle, but to share and explore them all. Great job, puzzle masters!

On Thursday, it was Class Photo Day! Everyone was ready to pose with big smiles, nobody looked nervous at all! For our activity, we decorated puzzle pieces using colorful foam papers and different shapes. Our puzzle art looked amazing!

Finally, on Friday, we wrapped up our puzzle week by painting puzzle pieces. Who knew you could paint puzzle pieces? It was messy, colorful, and SO much fun!

What a wonderful week of learning, sharing, creating, and solving together. Thank you friends for another wonderful week :)
